Book review: The Little Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupery

The story of a little prince who leaves his tiny asteroid, visits Earth, and longs to return home. Through his journey, he teaches us about love, responsibility, and the contrast between adults and children-reminding us of what truly matters. I felt many emotions while reading it, most of which I could not understand.

As adults, we are busy with things that give us a sense of importance, authority and money. But children are the ones who love unabashedly, know what they want and have value for the intangible things in life like flowers, sheep and volcanoes.

I loved how the author takes the fundamentals of growing up through the narrator's thinking and later with the little prince. The author portrays his deep thinking of how our imagination, and acceptance of things get narrowed with growing up cause everything gets shadowed by logic and commitments.

I will definitely reread this one, and I will read it in Tamil the next time. This is the one among the books for which I wish to have a physical copy. A must read for everyone.
